Tip of the Day: Using mobile devices in the library

phone and library

Did you know that you can use your personal audio-visual devices
(e.g. mobile phones, tablets, iPods, MP3 players, etc.) everywhere in the library  except  in areas designed for silent study? You are required to use your personal headsets and to ensure that no audible noise emanates from your device. Should complaints be received, library staff will require that the device be switched off.

Remember that you have to switch your phone to silent upon entering the library, and that talking on mobile phones is prohibited. Although you can send and
receive text messages anywhere other than the designated Silent Study Areas.
For more information, see the Library Regulation.
